Job summary

VIA, a Boston-based data security and analytics software company, seeks a Senior Data Platform Engineer to bridge data engineering with DevOps. You will design secure cloud data infrastructure and resilient data pipelines while ensuring performance and observability.

You’ll work with Kubernetes, Terraform/Helm, and modern AI-enabled data workflows. You’ll collaborate across data teams, developers, and Client Delivery to operationalize AI models and optimize data platforms for scalable, secure

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a data-driven role.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science, mathematics, engineering, or a data-driven field.
• Strong Python scripting and automation skills.
• Experience architecting scalable relational and non-relational (SQL/NoSQL) schemas.
• AWS data services or Azure equivalents; IaC tooling (Terraform/Helm).
• Container orchestration and observability (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience building resilient pipelines with Dagster or Apache Airflow.
• Understanding data infrastructure within broader application architecture.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC deployment.

Responsibilities

• Architect, provision, and maintain secure cloud data infrastructure (Terraform/Helm).
• Develop and deploy real-time and batch data pipelines with CI/CD as a priority.
• Monitor and optimize data infrastructure and system performance.
• Troubleshoot database queries and pipeline logic with the application team.
• Drive data governance and best practices for health, integrity and security.
• Operationalize AI models with versioning, containerization, and deployment.
