Job summary

VIA, headquartered in Boston, MA, is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to transform raw data into clear narratives that guide customer decisions. You will work on AI-powered data products, data quality, and end-to-end data pipelines on a high-velocity Agile team with strong emphasis on security and accuracy.

The role requires 3+ years in data-driven roles, a data science or engineering degree, and proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data tooling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a data-driven role or equivalent in data-related research projects.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in science, mathematics, engineering, or a data-driven field.
• Competence in Python, R, or equivalent programming language.
• Competence in at least two of the following technologies: Database tech, Data science libraries, Data pipelining tools, Cloud providers.
• Ability to translate complex data findings into clear narratives, and strong communication skills.
• Self-starter attitude with ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Experience with Generative AI tools and testing frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand the data and the domain by translating domain knowledge into data infrastructure requirements.
• Build AI-powered data products including interactive analysis, data quality reports, and visualizations.
• Oversee data pipelines and ensure quality, reliability, and traceability of ETL/ELT processes.
• Improve the platform by automating data cleaning, modeling, and analytics with AI enhancements.
