Job summary

Motion Recruitment is assisting a leading Financial Services client in Charlotte, NC on a Sr Data Analytics & BI Engineer contract. Hybrid work arrangement with a long-term 18+ month engagement and potential full-time conversion.

You will design and deliver Power BI dashboards, develop robust data models, and partner with analytics, engineering, and product teams to translate complex data into executive-ready insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, reporting, or related technology disciplines.
• Extensive experience designing and developing Power BI dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions.
• Advanced experience with Tableau or comparable visualization platforms.
• Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration techniques.
• Experience working with Agile, Product, Engineering, or Technology delivery organizations.
• Ability to synthesize complex data into meaningful business insights and executive narratives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Database Engineering.
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Database Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
