Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners, LLC is recruiting a Sr Data Analytics & BI Engineer for a Charlotte, NC hybrid contract with a premier financial services client.

You'll design and develop Power BI dashboards, build enterprise reporting, implement data models, and deliver executive analytics with clear storytelling. Collaborate across Agile teams to translate complex data into actionable business insights and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent.
• 7 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, reporting, or related technology disciplines.
• Extensive experience designing and developing Power BI dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions.
• Advanced experience with Tableau or comparable visualization platforms.
• Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration techniques.
• Experience working with Agile, Product, Engineering, or Technology delivery organizations.
• Ability to synthesize complex data into meaningful business insights and executive narratives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Database Engineering.
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Database Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
