Job summary

Dow Jones Energy seeks a highly analytical Senior Data Analyst to support business performance, revenue management, customer analytics, and product strategy. You will develop reporting, dashboards, and analytical models, partnering with Product, Sales, Finance, and leadership to drive data-informed decisions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data analytics or related field
• Advanced Excel with PivotTables, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, VBA/macros or Power Query
• Experience with Python for data analysis/automation
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, SQL Server, Athena)
• Experience with BI dashboards (Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau)
• Knowledge of B2B data, industry analysis, or software products
• Domain knowledge in chemicals/energy or related industry
• Interest in pursuing product management
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end reporting for the Book of Business (ACV, renewals, new business, win/loss)
• Build bottoms-up financial models, scenario analyses, and churn diagnostics
• Drive pricing, budgeting, and revenue retention strategies
• Query, transform, and aggregate complex datasets across source systems with SQL
• Establish data validation and quality assurance processes
• Design and maintain scalable Power BI/Looker Studio dashboards for KPIs
• Automate recurring workflows using SQL, Python, Excel/VBA and Power Query
• Synthesize product usage data into customer health scores for Sales
