Job summary

Argo seeks a Senior Data Analyst to advance regulatory reporting, data quality, and analytics capabilities within the Shared Services organization in Chicago. The role owns end-to-end data transformation across policy, claims, underwriting, and financial data to ensure timely regulatory submissions and strong governance.

You will mentor analysts, partner with Compliance, Finance, and Data Engineering, and drive improvements in data platforms and reporting; experience in P&C insurance is highly

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, business analytics, computer science, actuarial science, finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in data analysis, BI, analytics, regulatory reporting, or related functions in P&C insurance.
  • Experience supporting regulatory reporting, statutory reporting, or financial reporting processes.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance operations and data structures across policy, claims, underwriting, accounting, finance, or actuarial functions.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with large-scale relational databases, data warehouses, and data transformation methods.

Responsibilities

  • Design advanced analyses to support regulatory reporting and compliance initiatives.
  • Transform complex business requirements into scalable data solutions and insights.
  • Analyze policy, claims, underwriting, financial, and operations data for accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, data models, and datasets for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering to design data enrichment, transformation, and integration solutions.
  • Support and enhance data platforms, reporting processes, and analytics assets using modern data tech.
  • Own data preparation, validation, and reconciliation for statutory reporting and regulatory filings.
  • Develop expertise in P&C insurance operations and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Translate regulatory and business needs into sustainable data processes and controls.
  • Diagnose data quality issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Design analytical approaches for complex or evolving problems.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve data accessibility.
