Job summary

Texas Education Agency seeks a Senior Data Analyst for PREP Allotment to translate legislation into analytical solutions, develop data pipelines, and support accountability across the agency. This role drives reporting, funding methodology, and strategic advising with SAS, SQL, and Power BI.

The position requires strong data governance, audit readiness, and collaboration with agency leadership. Travel up to 5% and flexible work location within Texas are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• At least four years of experience in data analysis, research, compilation, and/or reporting with large data sets.
• An advanced degree may substitute for two years of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and maintenance of datasets, reports, and dashboards for PREP Allotment.
• Develop funding methodologies and data pipelines with governance and audit readiness.
• Provide strategic consultation to leadership on data use and performance metrics.
• Ensure accuracy through quality controls and documentation standards.
• Coordinate responses to information requests and external stakeholders.
