Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst 3 in Insights Delivery Merchandising Analytics to design, develop, and maintain analytics solutions that support merchandising and planning operations.

You will own analytics deliverables end-to-end, from requirements gathering and data modeling to building reports, validating data accuracy, and supporting production workflows. Strong SQL and Looker skills are essential, with collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or analytics engineering.
• Advanced SQL skills with complex joins, window functions, CTEs, aggregations, and query optimization.
• ETL/ELT pipelines experience with job scheduling and orchestration (Airflow/dbt).
• Experience with cloud data warehouses, preferably Google BigQuery.
• Experience with Looker/LookML, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Experience building analytic data models and reusable reporting datasets.
• Git-based version control and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain analytics solutions end-to-end from requirements to production.
• Build and optimize Looker Explores, dashboards, and self-service reporting.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Planning, Finance, and other stakeholders to translate needs into solutions.
• Develop analytics products across merchandising functions including planning, inventory, and markdowns.
• Modernize reporting by migrating legacy Tableau reports to Looker and aligning with new planning systems.
• Maintain data pipelines using Airflow, dbt, and cloud platforms.
• Ensure data accuracy through testing, reconciliation, and validation.
• Participate in code reviews and documentation to maintain high-quality analytics.
