Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a data analytics individual contributor to deliver inventory merchandising insights and strategic operational analytics from Seattle. You will build Looker dashboards, own data models in BigQuery, and develop Python and Airflow pipelines to keep datasets fresh and accurate.

Collaboration with Merch Ops, Inbound Flow, RP, and Supplier Compliance is essential to translate business questions into reliable insights.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data analytics experience delivering business-critical analytics independently.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code/Claude Desktop) to accelerate analysis.
• Advanced SQL skills with BigQuery and data warehousing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and evolve Looker dashboards and self-service tools used by Mer ch Ops, Inbound Flow, RP, and Supplier Compliance.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate analytics needs into clear answers.
• Own data models and BigQuery queries behind inventory reporting with a focus on accuracy and scalability.
• Develop and maintain Python and Airflow pipelines to keep datasets fresh and monitored.
• Support migration from legacy sources to Looker/BigQuery and newer platforms while ensuring numbers carry over accurately.
• Use Claude Code and Claude Desktop to speed analysis and automate workflows.
• Perform ad hoc analysis on inventory, inbound, replenishment, and supplier trends; present findings to leadership.
• Coordinate with Data Engineering, Insights, and Technology on data dependencies and platform changes.
• Share learnings and help establishing standards for analytics.
