Job summary

Akaasa Technologies is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to join a hybrid team with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

The role focuses on data analysis of the Data Lake, developing dbt models, and delivering insights through Power BI dashboards in Snowflake environments across Dallas, TX or Miami, FL. Responsibilities include building dbt models, writing SQL, validating data, maintaining documentation, and guiding junior analysts while collaborating with stakeholders to translate business

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining dbt models across layers.
• Proficient SQL for data transformation and analysis.
• Design and enforce data testing/validation (dbt tests, source freshness).
• Maintain dbt docs and data dictionaries.
• Translate business questions into metrics and dashboards.
• Manage dbt project version control (Git).
• Monitor data quality and troubleshoot pipelines.
• Advanced data cleaning: normalization, handling categorical variables, merging datasets.
• Experience with Python (pandas, NumPy) or R for data manipulation.
• Create interactive dashboards in Power BI with complex visualizations.
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices and custom visuals.
• Understand data models to support reporting needs.
• Familiar with AWS, Snowflake, Azure.
• Familiar with AWS Glue, AWS Appflow, Lambda, S3, Funnel, Athena.
• Support CI/CD workflows for dbt deployments.

Responsibilities
