Job summary

Strategic Staffing Solutions in Tampa, FL seeks a Senior Data Analyst to translate business needs into reliable data products and actionable insights. You will build BI reports, analyze complex data, and partner with business and Technology teams throughout the solution lifecycle.

The role emphasizes data governance, quality, and mentoring analysts. This hybrid position (4 days onsite, 1 remote) runs for 6 months with an attractive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of progressively responsible experience in data analysis, BI, reporting, or related analytics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience creating BI reports and dashboards with Power BI or similar.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational data concepts.
• Ability to query, join, validate, and reconcile data from multiple sources.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, integrate, cleanse, and analyze complex datasets for reports and dashboards.
• Design, build, and maintain BI reports and dashboards using Power BI and Excel.
• Translate business questions into analytical approaches and data requirements.
• Support solution design through exploratory analysis and data visualization.
• Lead or support requirements gathering, data validation, UAT, and deployment readiness.
• Monitor data quality, investigate errors, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Document key fields, calculations, lineage, and controls for data governance.
• Collaborate with partners to prioritize analytical needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Provide technical guidance, peer review, and mentoring to analysts.
• Contribute to analytical standards and continuous improvement.
