Job summary

Brightspeed is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to build scalable datasets and analytics for Finance PMO, Process Excellence, and Internal Audit. You will partner with stakeholders to deliver accurate insights, maintain data pipelines, and optimize reporting across billing and finance systems.

You will work with SQL, Python, and BigQuery, producing executive-ready visuals and dashboards while advancing data quality and governance in a hybrid Charlotte, NC environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Accounting/Finance/Business, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience developing scalable datasets, reporting solutions, and analytical insights in a business environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience working with large-scale data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouse environments.
• Professional certifications in Data Analytics, Cloud Technologies, or related disciplines are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand objectives, define data requirements, and translate questions into scalable analytical solutions.
• Extract, integrate, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources to create trusted datasets for reporting.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, data pipelines, and analytical models using BigQuery, Python, and other data technologies.
• Design and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and outputs that provide meaningful insights.
• Validate data accuracy and integrity by reconciling results across systems and addressing data quality issues.
• Analyze trends and anomalies, presenting findings with clear visualizations for executive audiences.
• Support cross-functional initiatives involving data engineering, analytics, reporting, and migrations.
• Contribute to scalable datasets, feature stores, and reusable analytics assets.
• Collaborate across functions to deliver high-quality analytical solutions aligned with priorities.
