THE ROLE

As Thrive Market continues to grow rapidly, you'll have the opportunity to build the core data infrastructure of our business. We foster a transparent, data-centric environment. Your role will involve expanding our existing data warehouse to support reporting and data needs across departments.

You will influence business strategy and product management through your expertise in analysis, data modeling, and growth acceleration. This role is about empowering decision-making with data, not just creating reports that go unused. If you enjoy helping others understand data and making strategic insights accessible, this role is ideal.

As our Senior Data Analyst, you'll lead efforts to turn data into actionable insights, build a team, and ensure data quality and integrity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Lead end-to-end data projects, managing timelines, stakeholder priorities, and strategic discussions for business impact.
2. Deliver high-quality insights and develop scalable data products for decision-making.
3. Identify and resolve data integrity and performance issues proactively.
4. Collaborate across data management teams to ensure standards are met.
5. Perform source gap analysis, create data catalogs, and mappings.
6. Develop understanding of system integrations and future data needs.
7. Analyze user behavior, engagement, conversion, and financial metrics.
8. Create dashboards, visualizations, and datasets for actionable insights.
9. Serve as a liaison for Product Management to provide relevant data for decisions.
10. Design, test, and deploy new reports to maintain a top-tier reporting environment.
11. Address ad-hoc reporting needs while maintaining data accuracy.
12. Adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment with a pragmatic approach.
13. Leverage industry data to identify gaps and opportunities.
14. Create pricing and assortment optimization tools.
15. Partner with Finance to assess product decisions' impact.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. M.S. or Ph.D. in statistics, computer science, operations research, or related fields.
2. 7+ years of experience in data science or analytics.
3. Proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, C++, and SQL.
4. Experience with Hive or Spark is a plus.
5. Experience in ecommerce/subscription businesses, billing, and payments.
6. Experience with Snowflake or similar databases, ETL, and advanced SQL.
7. Knowledge of statistics and multivariate regression.
8. Strong visualization skills with tools like Tableau, Domo, or similar.
9. Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
10. Curiosity, initiative, flexibility, and integrity.
11. Leadership skills, proactive mindset, and team-oriented attitude.
12. Experience with web analytics tools like Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel.
13. Experience with BI tools and A/B testing is a plus.
