Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior data science leader to own model selection and evaluation frameworks for AI workflows in the healthcare domain. You will design real-world cohort segmentation and drive production-grade agent pipelines in collaboration with AI/ML engineers.

Lead cross-functional teams, mentor colleagues, and communicate analytical trade-offs to stakeholders while advancing transformational change in life sciences analytics.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Clinical Informatics, or similar.
• 8+ years with a Bachelor's, 7+ years with a Master's, or 5+ years with a PhD in relevant fields.
• Data science experience in the healthcare sector, including healthcare/pharma data (claims, EHR, HEDIS/OMOP).
• Hands-on experience evaluating and experimenting with LLMs and agentic systems.

Responsibilities

• Own model selection and evaluation frameworks for AI-based workflows.
• Design cohort and customer/HCP segmentation methodology using real world data sources.
• Direct analytical logic and decisioning behind agentic workflows.
• Partner with AI/ML Engineers to translate methodology into production-grade agents and pipelines.
• Support strategic and tactical planning regarding medical/analytical priorities.
• Collaborate with Data Architect/Data Analyst to align outputs with data models and quality standards.
• Communicate insights and trade-offs to business and technical stakeholders.
• Identify new data inputs, analytical techniques, and evaluation approaches to improve workflow quality and adoption.
• Mentor and coach junior data scientists and data engineering colleagues.
• Lead teams and engage diverse stakeholders to drive transformational change.

Requirements

• In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical medicine, including clinical trial design, GCP and data interpretation, drug development, regulatory and promotional rules/guidance, legal and compliance, and issue management
• Ability to drive transformational change, lead teams, engage diverse stakeholders, and understand technology applications in the Life Science sector
• Permanent work authorization in the United States
• Must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer; U.S. work visa sponsorship is unavailable
