Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an senior analytics leader to proactively identify drivers, risks, and opportunities in biopharma portfolios. You will champion AI-enabled dashboards, translate complex data into compelling narratives for VP and C-suite stakeholders, and partner with Brand Teams, Data Science and Data Strategy to advance capabilities.

Job description

• Proactively initiate analyses and innovative methodologies to identify business drivers, risks, and opportunities
• Serve as subject matter expert for secondary commercial analytics within an assigned therapeutic area
• Analyze patient segments, treatment patterns, market dynamics, prescribing behavior, and patient flow
• Direct use of secondary data sources and subnational analytics to inform brand strategy
• Champion AI tools, AI-generated dashboards, and automated reporting
• Ensure reporting infrastructure remains accurate or transitions to AI-enabled alternatives
• Connect insights into persuasive narratives and actionable recommendations for senior leadership
• Partner strategically with Brand Teams, IIS, Data Science, and Data Strategy & Management
• Align methodology, metrics definitions, and reporting standards across GCA
• Advance team capabilities through AI-focused thought leadership and knowledge sharing
• Partner on novel data sources, AI/ML methods, and next-generation reporting
• Direct and assess vendor-partner work, including analytical direction, quality oversight, and risk management
• Build trusted relationships with marketing, integrated insights, commercial excellence, data science, and market access stakeholders
• Translate complex analytics into business language for VP and C-suite leaders

Requirements

• 8+ years' experience in biopharma, analytics, strategic consulting, business, or a related field
• Bachelor's degree required
• Master's preferred in a quantitative discipline
• Demonstrated track record of driving AI or advanced-analytics innovation within a commercial analytics or insights function
• Analytics, statistics, and/or database knowledge and experience using relevant tools, applications, and platforms
• Prior experience supporting a specialty care brand or franchise in a pharma commercial analytics or insights role, with deep working knowledge of the relevant treatment landscape and competitive dynamics within a specific therapeutic area, preferred
• Demonstrated success proactively shaping brand strategy and tactics
• Demonstrated success in a highly fast-paced setting
• Ability to identify new issues, trends, and opportunities from data
• Ability to influence without authority, setting business direction, priorities, and action plans
• Demonstrated analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills
• Strong project management and organizational skills with cross-functional teams
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to travel based on business needs
• Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
• Permanent work authorization in the United States required
• Strong analytical and coding skills in SQL, Python, or R
• Experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data environment preferred
• Strong proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools
• Extensive experience designing and managing secondary data analytics, including IQVIA, Symphony Health, or specialty pharmacy data
• Depth in at least one therapeutic area
• Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships and ensuring quality in deliverables
• Ability to flexibly prioritize multiple demands, deal with ambiguity, and lead complex cross-functional projects in a matrixed environment
• Ability to identify and explain data caveats and uncertainties
• Demonstrated business and financial acumen
