Job summary

Datavations, a New York-based data and AI software company, seeks a Sales Engineer to partner with Account Executives through the full sales cycle. You will validate data against prospect numbers, build analyses, and present to technical and executive audiences.

This is a hands-on, central role in the sales process. Expected to turn data into clear business insights, scope technical requirements, and deliver compelling demonstrations while collaborating with sales, customer success, and product

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical, pre-sales, or solutions-consulting role.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with data.
• Excellent presentation and communication, capable of senior audiences.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data and develop insights tied to business decisions.
• Scope deals and prepare pricing or proposals; surface feasibility issues.
• Deliver product demos and analytical presentations to senior audiences.
• Validate data against prospect data and explain methodology clearly.
• Coordinate handoff with sales, customer success, and product after deals close.
• Proficient with data tools (spreadsheets, SQL or similar, BI/reporting tools) and AI-enhanced workflows.
