Job summary

Databricks Inc. is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) in Austin, TX.

You will own architecture and lead design decisions for production-ready data, AI, and application solutions using the Databricks platform. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role delivering end-to-end deployments with strong emphasis on customer value and scalability. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and engagement managers to scope delivery work, embed with customer teams, and ensure successful

Qualifications

6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
Comfortable writing code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
Working knowledge of two or more Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture and design decisions for production-grade data and AI solutions.
Deliver end-to-end solutions including data ingestion, ML/AI model integration, and reference architectures.
Guide transformational big data projects from design to deployment.
Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver measurable impact.
Ensure security, scalability, and alignment with Databricks best practices.
