Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead the technical strategy for customers, owning architecture discussions and driving platform adoption. You’ll position Databricks as the foundation of customers’ data and AI strategy and develop a specialization within the team.

You will collaborate with customer directors and engineers, orchestrating cross-functional resources to deliver scalable, production-grade data and ML solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in solutions architecture or a senior hands-on technical role.
• Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL with live coding.
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture for scalable pipelines.
• Proficient with Databricks Platform and a developing technical specialization.
• Lead architecture discussions with senior stakeholders via whiteboarding and reviews.
• Experience with production deployments on AWS/Azure/GCP including security/governance.
• Track record of platform adoption and consumption growth within accounts.
• Excellent communication translating architectures to business value for technical and exec audiences.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or quantitative discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end technical strategy for accounts, from discovery to production deployment.
• Lead complex architecture discussions spanning data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer architects, engineering leads, and Directors.
• Drive technical wins by demonstrating differentiation through custom-built solutions.
• Develop and declare an emerging technical specialization (archetype) for the team.
• Orchestrate cross-functional resources to deliver comprehensive solutions for complex needs.
• Influence product direction by providing structured feedback on requirements and gaps.
