Job summary

Databricks Inc. is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to deliver production-grade data and AI solutions for enterprise customers. You will own architecture, drive design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems across data engineering, AI, and application development.

The role blends hands-on delivery with strategic guidance and customer empathy. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams, travel up to 20% of the time, and leverage Databricks platforms to scale impact

Qualifications

6+ years experience in data engineering or software development.
Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Deep experience with Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark internals.
Familiar with MLOps and ML/AI models.

Responsibilities

Lead production solution delivery, building reference architectures and data ingestion/ML model integration.
Guide transformational big data projects from end-to-end design to deployment.
Bootstrap or implement customer projects to ensure understanding, evaluation and adoption of Databricks.
Own architecture decisions to ensure secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs.
Collaborate with engineering, project managers, architects and customer teams to deliver engagements.
