Job summary

FIS is seeking a senior Data & Tech Product Counsel to partner with product teams across data, AI and technology initiatives. The role focuses on data governance, AI governance, data usage rights and responsible product design within a scalable governance framework.

You will embed with product and legal teams from ideation through launch, advise on architecture decisions, and help operationalize contract templates and RFP responses to support growth while protecting client trust.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
Minimum of 9 years of relevant legal experience advising on technology, data, SaaS, platform, fintech or enterprise software products.
Demonstrated ability to serve as a product-facing legal owner across development, contracting, privacy, security and disputes.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary legal resource for assigned data and technology products, owning legal strategy across regulatory, commercial, IP, data privacy and tech matters.
Embed with product, data strategy, technology, sales, compliance, privacy, security and other stakeholders from ideation through launch and beyond.
Advise on data flows, product architecture, hosting geography, data-access vendors and AI features with legal implications.
