Job summary

FIS is seeking a senior Enterprise Platform Product Counsel to provide strategic legal support for FIS's enterprise platform offerings. This role partners with product, technology, sales, compliance, privacy and security teams to embed legal guidance from early ideation through launch and sunset.

The role sits within the Product Counsel team and is designed for a seasoned product lawyer who can operate as a strategic owner.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and bar admission.
Minimum of 9 years of relevant legal experience advising on enterprise software, SaaS, and technology transactions.
Strong legal and business judgment with ability to translate complex tech concepts for non-lawyers.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary legal resource and product owner for enterprise platform offerings.
Embed with product, technology, implementation, sales, compliance, security and business teams from ideation to sunset.
Advise on platform delivery models (SaaS, hosted, on-premise) and data flows.
Support platform contracting architecture, terms, pricing attachments and specs.
Ensure terms align with security, privacy, subcontracting, SLAs and vendor management.
Define legal launch readiness and approvals, templates, and go-to-market artifacts.
Maintain deep knowledge of platform functionality, roadmap and regulatory context.
Identify legal dependencies across privacy, data protection, IP, and commercial issues.
Attend sales calls, support RFPs and negotiate platform-related agreements.
Develop training materials and maintain a knowledge base for platform legal support.
Establish coverage for transitions and succession planning.
