Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work with customers on productionizing data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform. You will own the architecture, lead design decisions and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

This hands-on, customer-facing role requires strong engineering expertise, adaptability, and a passion for customer success, with travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data engineering, data platforms, or software engineering.
• Experience building production-grade data and AI solutions.
• Strong coding skills in Python/Scala/JS-TS.
• Familiarity with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Deep knowledge of distributed computing with Spark and Spark internals.
• Experience with MLOps and AI model integration.
• Strong architecture and design skills for end-to-end data systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead production solution delivery projects for clients.
• Architect and implement end-to-end data, AI, and application components.
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployments.
• Provide technical leadership and accelerate reference architectures and accelerators.
