Job summary

RSM US LLP in Edison, New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Senior Associate - Reporting Dashboard Engineer to design, build, and maintain enterprise dashboards using Power BI or Tableau for financial services engagements.

You will translate business needs into scalable analytics, develop data models, and write complex SQL to support executive reporting, risk and regulatory dashboards. This contract role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders and production-ready data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, analytics, dashboard development, or data engineering.
• Advanced SQL development experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Experience designing dimensional data models, including star and snowflake schemas.
• Experience supporting data warehousing and reporting environments.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate business needs into scalable analytics solutions.
• Develop and optimize data models, semantic layers, and reporting datasets to support enterprise reporting initiatives.
• Write complex SQL queries to analyze, validate, reconcile, and transform large datasets.
• Build and support ETL/ELT processes and data integration workflows across multiple source systems.
• Create executive dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and management reporting packages.
• Implement data quality controls and reporting governance standards to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
• Investigate reporting issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve data discrepancies.
• Support user acceptance testing, deployment activities, and ongoing production support.
• Document reporting solutions, processes, and technical specifications.
