Job summary

RSM US LLP in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Temporary Senior Associate - Reporting Dashboard Engineer to join Risk Consulting and support complex financial services engagements. You will design and maintain dashboards using Power BI or Tableau and translate business needs into scalable analytics.

The role requires advanced SQL, data models, data warehouses, ETL/ELT processes, and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver executive reporting and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in BI, reporting, analytics, dashboard development, or data engineering.
• Advanced SQL development with large datasets.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Experience designing dimensional data models (star/snowflake).
• Experience with data warehousing, ETL/ELT and data integration tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Gather reporting requirements from stakeholders and translate into scalable analytics solutions.
• Develop and optimize data models, semantic layers, and reporting datasets for enterprise reporting.
• Write complex SQL queries to analyze, validate, and transform large datasets.
• Build and support ETL/ELT processes and data integration across source systems.
• Create executive dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting packages.
• Implement data quality controls and reporting governance for accuracy and consistency.
• Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve data discrepancies.
• Support UAT, deployment, and ongoing production support.
