Job summary

HCI Systems, Inc in California seeks skilled DAS Designers and Senior Designers to design and draft DAS/ERRCS shop drawings, perform RF modeling, and prepare technical submittals and closeout documents for complex facilities.

You will coordinate with project teams, apply NFPA 1221/1225 and FCC rules, maintain libraries, and ensure code-compliant, high‑quality designs. Proficiency in AutoCAD and iBwave is required, with strong communication and self‑motivation.

Qualifications

• Strong AutoCAD background; Revit preferred.
• Familiar with NFPA 1221/1225, local AHJ DAS code requirements, FCC rules.
• Experience with RF modeling tools such as iBwave.
• Industry certifications such as iBwave Level 1–3, GROL, NICET or related RF/telecom.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Bluebeam and related design software.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, able to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft DAS/ERRCS shop drawings for multifamily, high‑rise, healthcare and commercial facilities.
• Perform RF modeling, heat mapping, link budgets, and predictive coverage analysis.
• Prepare submittals, RFIs, and commissioning reports; manage document control.
• Coordinate designs with electrical engineers, GC, and RF vendors to ensure compliance.
• Read blueprints and RF reports; identify out‑of‑scope work and gaps.
• Maintain engineering libraries and templates; apply CAD/BIM standards.
