Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. seeks experienced Senior Dam Safety Engineers and FERC-approved Independent Consultants to join a nationally recognized team. You will design, analyze, and inspect dams and hydraulic structures, lead projects, and mentor staff while collaborating across GEI offices.

Hybrid and flexible work locations are available. Ideal candidates have 10+ years of dam-related experience, a PE license, and strong project management, communication, and business development skills.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10+ years of relevant experience with dams, water conveyances, or hydropower infrastructure.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience with leadership and business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of hydraulic structures and related components (dams, spillways, gates, outlets, walls).
• Perform analyses, evaluations, and designs for hydropower and dam safety projects; propose options and recommendations.
• Conduct inspections and risk assessments in support of regulatory requirements and client needs.
