Job summary

Schnabel Engineering, a leading geotechnical and dam engineering firm, seeks a Senior Engineer or Geologist (Associate-Level) in Sacramento to lead growing practice. You will provide technical oversight, manage projects and client relationships, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires a CA PE license (or reciprocity), ABET-accredited BS, and 8+ years’ relevant experience, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of work experience relevant to this position.
• Professional license in California or reciprocity.
• Experience with design calculations, drawings, and specs.
• Project management and leadership experience.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering oversight and project management for engineering projects.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, drawings, and specs.
• Manage client relationships and develop business opportunities in dam engineering.
• Develop proposals and qualification statements.
• Balance workloads and supervise junior engineers across offices.
