Schnabel is seeking a mid-level geotechnical Engineer or geologist to join our Sacramento team. The role involves contributing to design, analysis, and assessment of major infrastructure projects with a multidisciplinary group.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional geotechnical experience or a Master’s/PhD with less experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or Geologist.
• Ability to work independently on routine tasks, complex calculations and basic reports.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and a desire for continual self-improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering activities across all project phases: investigation, evaluation, analysis, design, and construction services.
• Lead tasks within projects and manage smaller projects.
• Perform calculations to support designs and prepare construction drawings.
• Prepare boring logs, drawings, reports, and technical specifications.
• Support client interaction and business development.
• Mentor junior staff within project framework.
• Plan and manage detailed geotechnical investigations.
