Job summary

Schnabel Engineering is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Dam Engineer with >12 years of experience to lead the evaluation, design, rehabilitation, and construction of embankment dams, levees, and hydraulic structures in Texas. You will provide technical leadership on dam safety projects, manage client relationships, mentor staff, and help grow Schnabel's dam engineering practice across the Texas offices.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil/related engineering degree; master's preferred.
• TX PE license or reciprocity ability preferred.
• 12+ years in dams/hydraulic structures; Texas experience preferred.
• Strong communication, project management, and client skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on dam safety projects.
• Lead investigations, seepage, slope stability analyses.
• Prepare calculations, reports, drawings, specs.
• Develop rehabilitation and risk reduction measures.
• Manage projects, budgets, schedules, and staffing.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate cross-office teams.
• Support client relationships and business development.
