Job summary

DARTMOUTH-HITCHCOCK HEALTH is seeking a Cytotechnologist III to prepare and analyze cytologic specimens for cancer and other pathologies. The role supports the Cytology Supervisor and Medical Director in a per diem, day-shift capacity within the Cytology department.

Responsibilities include performing cytologic analyses, ensuring specimen identification, operating processing and screening equipment, and correlating findings with clinical data. Team teaching and quality maintenance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is required.
• Successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP accredited Cytotechnology program is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in cytology or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform cytologic analyses.
• Review and assure correct specimen identification and fixation.
• Operate cytology processing and screening instrumentation according to established protocols.
• Microscopically evaluate and diagnose cytologic material and correlate findings with clinical data.

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
