Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a Cytology Supervisor to oversee daily cytology operations, lead a team, and ensure accurate, timely reporting of cytology results. The role includes staff supervision, competency assessments, and adherence to CLIA/CAP standards in a busy lab environment.

You will coordinate staffing, support gynecologic and non-gynecologic testing, and collaborate with pathologists and lab leadership to drive quality and patient care improvements.

Qualifications

• ASCP Cytotechnologist certification or equivalent per CLIA requirements.
• Three years full-time cytotechnologist experience within the last ten years.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily cytology operations and workflow.
• Coordinate staffing and case scheduling for coverage.
• Ensure accurate microscopic evaluation and diagnostic reporting.
• Assist pathologists during FNA procedures and adequacy assessments.
• Maintain CLIA/CAP/TJC compliance and QA programs.
• Lead training, competency assessment, and staff development.
