Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL seeks a Cytology Supervisor to oversee daily cytology laboratory operations, including Pap tests and non-gynecologic specimen processing. This role provides leadership for staff, ensures accurate reporting, and maintains compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other standards.

The ideal candidate will supervise staff, coordinate schedules, and support FNA procedures, with a focus on quality and efficiency in a high-volume cytology service.

Qualifications

• ASCP Cytotechnologist certification or completion of a CAAHEP-accredited cytotechnology program.
• Minimum of three years full-time cytotechnologist experience within the preceding ten years.

Responsabilités

• Supervise daily cytology laboratory operations, including gynecologic (Pap tests) and non-gynecologic specimen processing and evaluation.
• Coordinate staffing schedules, assignments, and workflow to ensure efficiency and coverage.
• Perform and oversee microscopic evaluation of cytology specimens and ensure diagnostic accuracy.
• Lead staff training, onboarding, and continuing education programs while ensuring regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP).
