Job summary

The Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida is seeking a Cytology Supervisor to oversee daily Cytology lab operations, testing procedures, and staff supervision. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and lead performance appraisals and competency assessments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Cytology, a supervisor-level Cytotechnologist license, 5+ years in a clinical lab, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage budget and inventory. On-site role at Magnolia Hospital.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cytology and supervisor-level Cytotechnologist license.
• Minimum five years’ experience in the clinical laboratory setting.
• Experience with laboratory information systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Cytology laboratory section.
• Provide technical supervision of departmental processes and testing procedures.
• Manage personnel: performance appraisals, competency, addressing issues.
• Assist with budget review and inventory management.
