Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Cybersecurity Operations Analyst to join our Cybersecurity Operations team.

You will defend against cyber threats, detect and investigate incidents, and support remediation across the enterprise in a hybrid role near Temple, TX. You will work with SIEM and security monitoring tools, collaborate with IT and Business teams, and help improve incident response procedures while leveraging AI-powered tools to boost efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
2+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT operations.
Foundational understanding of security operations and incident response.
Experience with security monitoring tools and SIEM technologies.
Strong communication and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

Monitor security alerts from SIEM and other tools to identify suspicious activity.
Investigate and triage alerts to determine risk and response actions.
Assist with containment, eradication, and recovery of incidents.
Document investigations and contribute to post-incident reports.
Support threat hunting and proactive security assessments.
Collaborate with IT, Networking, and Business teams to resolve incidents.
Participate in incident response exercises and simulations.
Leverage threat intelligence and vulnerability data to improve detection.
Maintain and improve incident response playbooks and procedures.
Monitor emerging threats and industry best practices.
