Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Cybersecurity Operations Analyst to join its Security Operations team in Temple, TX. The role focuses on detecting, investigating, containing, and remediating security incidents across the enterprise.

You will work with experienced cybersecurity professionals, gain hands-on exposure to security monitoring tools, threat intel, and incident response playbooks, and contribute to continuous improvement of security processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity or IT.
• 2+ years in cybersecurity, information security, or IT operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM and other tools to identify suspicious activity.
• Investigate and triage alerts to determine risk, impact and response actions.
• Assist containment, eradication and recovery of incidents.
• Document investigations and incident findings for post-mortems and lessons learned.
• Support threat hunting and proactive security assessments.
• Collaborate with IT, Networking, Apps and Business teams to resolve incidents.
• Participate in incident response activities, tabletop exercises and simulations.
• Utilize threat intel and vulnerability data to improve detection and response.
• Improve incident response playbooks and operational docs.
• Stay aware of emerging threats and industry best practices.
• Leverage approved AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to aid research and reporting while following governance.
