Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join our on-site team in Dahlgren, VA. The role requires active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and deep experience in naval cybersecurity engineering for combat systems.

The candidate will develop cybersecurity requirements, lead strategy groups, and perform risk analyses across multiple classification levels, ensuring DoD IA policies are followed. A bachelor’s in cybersecurity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of program-specific security engineering experience working with Navy afloat/tactical systems or ten years general security engineering experience.
• IAT Level II (DoD 8570.01) or equivalent certification.
• Privileged users must complete OS/CE training within six months of start date and maintain JPAS IT level-1 designation where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, and guidance for combat systems.
• Conduct cybersecurity research, analysis, and coordination for multi-classification programs.
• Lead working groups to develop strategies to meet emerging threats in cybersecurity.
• Analyze cybersecurity, intelligence, and IT policy gaps for combat systems.
• Design, analyze, and document cybersecurity system engineering for combat systems.
• Develop risk assessment and mitigation plans for cybersecurity of combat systems.
• Document cybersecurity requirements, gap analyses, threat analyses, and MBSE model-based analyses.
