Job summary

Florida Digital Service in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer III to join the State of Florida's Management Services. This in-office role focuses on hands-on security tooling, detections, and telemetry pipelines that empower SOC detection, analysis, and incident response.

You will configure and maintain SIEM, SOAR, and data platforms, help transition to modernized SOC tooling, and collaborate across teams to ensure reliable monitoring and rapid incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity or related field.
• 3+ years of cybersecurity engineering or SOC experience.
• Hands-on with SIEM, EDR, SOAR or log platforms.
• Experience with security telemetry, data pipelines, and detections.
• Knowledge of incident response processes and change control.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and support enterprise security tools and telemetry systems.
• Develop and tune SIEM detections and alerting logic.
• Support SOC detection, response, and analytic workflows.
• Troubleshoot tool integrations and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with SOC, engineering, and IT teams on new capabilities.
• Follow change management and configuration management processes.
