Job summary

The Cybersecurity Operations Center Analyst role in Florida supports real-time monitoring, detection, and incident response for the state enterprise. Located in Tallahassee, you will analyze security events, triage alerts, and coordinate with detection engineering and incident response teams.

You will also conduct threat hunting, correlate threat intelligence, and respond to threats across Florida's state systems and data, with on-call rotation and after-hours availability as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, SOC analyst, or related role.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, Google SecOps OpenSearch, etc.) and EDR/firewall logs.
• Proficiency with log query languages (KQL, SQL) and threat intelligence platforms.
• Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation and occasional after-hours work.
