Job summary

Florida Department of Management Services seeks a Cybersecurity Engineering Manager in Tallahassee to lead the enterprise SOC tooling and engineering operations. The role focuses on reliability, integration, and modernization of security platforms, telemetry, and data pipelines for threat detection and incident response.

The position requires MSO leadership experience, strong knowledge of SIEM/SOAR and detection engineering, and the ability to mentor staff while driving modernization initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required or equivalent experience.
• Six+ years in cybersecurity/engineering roles for enterprise security.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and coordinating technical staff.
• Demonstrated design and operation of SIEM, SOAR, and threat intel platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Cybersecurity Engineering team and modernization efforts.
• Oversee security tooling, telemetry ingestion, data quality, and platform integration.
• Direct day-to-day SOC engineering operations and incident response support.
• Collaborate with architecture teams to align with enterprise standards.
