Job summary

Veterans EZ Info Inc is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer for a 100% remote role supporting a large federal healthcare modernization project. You will lead security engineering, architecture, ATO activities, continuous monitoring, and Zero Trust compliance across Census Bureau environments.

The candidate must reside in the continental US and travel to the Washington, DC area for onsite meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field with 10+ years in security engineering leadership.
• Current CISSP certification.
• 5+ years in Agile/DevSecOps and cloud projects.
• Deep knowledge of ATOs, SSPs, Zero Trust and continuous monitoring.
• Hands-on testing: app security, PKI, encryption, incident response.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead security architecture and engineering standards across enterprise environments.
• Provide technical leadership to ISSO and ISSE teams for security activities.
• Lead risk assessments, control assessments, and vulnerability management.
• Oversee ATO/SSP activities, ensuring Zero Trust and continuous monitoring compliance.
• Design and guide static and dynamic security testing and remediation.
• Communicate risks and remediation plans to Government and stakeholders.
• Support team objectives and project success as needed.
