Job summary

KBR, Inc. in El Segundo, CA, is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to support PKMA modernization and integration within the Enterprise SATCOM System, coordinating with government, contractors, and national crypto stakeholders.

The role delivers systems engineering, requirements, risk mitigation, and test planning across COMSEC/TRANSEC, with opportunities to influence acquisition strategy and deployment milestones.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• Experience with cryptographic systems, key management infrastructure, COMSEC or TRANSEC operations.
• Experience developing technical requirements, SOWs, acquisition packages, and engineering documentation.
• Strong technical writing and briefing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering activities supporting PKMA modernization and integration into ESS.
• Develop and review technical requirements, Statements of Work, Technical Requirements Documents, Interface Control Documents, and acquisition documentation.
• Support acquisition package activities for the PKMA modernization contract.
• Coordinate cryptographic key management requirements across ground, terminal, payload, and space segment stakeholders.
• Develop PKMA-related risk assessments, mitigation plans, and executive-ready briefings.
• Prepare concise status updates and program briefings for leadership.
