Job summary
KBR is seeking a highly motivated Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to support PKMA modernization within the Enterprise SATCOM System. You will lead systems engineering, requirements development, and coordination with government and industry partners to advance cryptographic key management and ESS integration.
The role requires active TS clearance, 7+ years of DoD/National Security space program experience, and strong technical writing and briefing skills.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related technical discipline
- 7+ years of systems engineering experience supporting DoD, IC, or national security space programs
- Experience with cryptographic systems, key management, COMSEC/TRANSEC
- Experience developing technical requirements, SOWs, acquisition packages
- Experience supporting large-scale system integration
- Strong technical writing and briefing skills
Responsibilities
- Lead systems engineering activities supporting PKMA modernization and integration into ESS
- Develop and review technical requirements, Statements of Work, and acquisition documentation
- Support acquisition package activities for the PKMA modernization contract
- Analyze vendor inputs and provide technical recommendations to government and program leadership
- Develop technical roadmaps and dependency analyses for PKMA development, integration, testing, and deployment
- Coordinate cryptographic key management requirements across ground, terminal, payload, and space segment stakeholders
- Support COMSEC/TRANSEC planning, test strategy, and certification planning
- Develop PKMA-related risk assessments and executive-ready briefings
- Participate in key management, cyber engineering and SATCOM working groups
- Coordinate with NSA, Space Systems Command and mission partners
- Support baseline reviews (SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR) and integration readiness
