Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer III to design, implement, and sustain security controls for classified DoD/IC environments. You will drive RMF accreditation, author SSPs, and operate in a hands-on role across enclaves, labs, and mission ground systems.

On-call rotation and travel up to 10–15% are expected. Ideal candidates bring 4+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, TS clearance eligibility, and scripting skills for automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or similar), or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Engineer and harden security architecture across classified enclaves and mission ground systems
• Drive RMF accreditation, develop SSPs and artifact documentation
• Perform vulnerability scanning, patch management, and incident triage
• Respond to incidents and participate in on-call rotations
• Automate compliance tasks with scripting and tooling
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver secure systems on mission schedules
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to standards and playbooks
