Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer to join the Intel Sector's Analysis Solutions Business Area in Bethesda, MD. You will design and implement security controls, support incident response, and work across ISSEs, ISSMs, developers, and government stakeholders throughout the DevSecOps lifecycle.

The role requires a TS/SCI with Poly, extensive experience with SIEM (Splunk), EDR, and secure configurations. You will ensure compliance with RMF/ATO and coordinate remediation with teams.

Qualifications

• 12 or more years of prior relevant experience or a MS with 10+ years.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
• Experience implementing and managing SIEM like Splunk.
• Experience with endpoint and network security tools (IDS/IPS, EDR).
• RMF/ATO support and vulnerability management experience.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CySA+, CEH, or GCIH.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, monitor, and upgrade security controls for enterprise systems.
• Configure security technologies and monitor with SIEM tools.
• Investigate and remediate cybersecurity incidents and support change management.
• Audit configurations for compliance with cybersecurity standards.
• Collaborate to integrate security into DevSecOps pipelines and architectures.
• Stay informed on advisories and enforce secure system configurations.
