Job summary

Leidos seeks a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer to lead complex enterprise cybersecurity design and modernization for the CSSP in Adelphi, MD. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on engineering in a 24x7x365 environment.

The position requires collaboration with Government stakeholders and Leidos teams to evaluate emerging technologies, guide migrations to hybrid-cloud, and deliver secure, scalable solutions while communicating complex concepts to both technical and executive

Qualifications

12+ years of IT/cybersecurity experience.
4+ years supporting Federal Government as employee or contractor.
Strong knowledge of NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
Experience migrating services to hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
CISSP certification and U.S. citizenship with an active TS clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead design, architecture, integration, and implementation of complex enterprise cybersecurity systems.
Serve as senior technical advisor to Government stakeholders on enterprise cybersecurity strategy, architecture, risk, and modernization.
Assess progress against cybersecurity strategies and develop recommendations aligned with mission objectives.
Evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies and lead feasibility studies, PoCs, pilots, and technology assessments.
Assess enterprise cybersecurity risk across platforms, networks, applications, and data environments.
Provide engineering leadership for the design and implementation of protective solutions for networks and systems.
Lead the development and integration of innovative cybersecurity solutions through collaboration with engineering, operations, and Government partners.
Guide modernization initiatives, including migration to hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
