Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer – Security Architecture & Automation to strengthen and scale our cybersecurity program through architecture, incident response, threat hunting, and automation. You will partner across OT, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to protect critical systems while enabling reliable production.

The role emphasizes secure design, automated response, and a collaborative, on-site work environment with a leading North American steel producer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity with incident response and threat hunting or detection engineering.
• Experience with SIEM-based detection and automation using scripting, APIs, SOAR, or AI workflows.
• Knowledge of network security, identity, data protection, endpoint, cloud, resilience, and vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, or CIS Controls.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of OT/ICS security frameworks (Purdue/IEC 62443).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to work full-time onsite; authorized to work in United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead security architecture reviews for systems, cloud, and OT/ICS requests, designing segmentation, least privilege, zero-trust, and resilient recovery.
• Design and build security automation using SOAR, scripting, or AI-assisted workflows.
• Tailor recommendations to business risk and land on repeatable, supportable solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotation, incident response, and threat hunting; feed findings back into architecture.
• Collaborate with OT, vulnerability management, DevSecOps, AI security, and infrastructure teams.
• Oversee penetration tests and purple-team exercises and convert findings into design improvements.
