Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer - Security Architecture & Automation to strengthen and scale our cybersecurity program.

You will design resilient security solutions, automate responses, and collaborate across infrastructure, operations, OT, and cybersecurity teams to protect critical systems while enabling production. Responsibilities include leading security architecture reviews, building security automation, and aligning security with business risk.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on incident response and threat hunting or detection engineering.
• Experience with SIEM-based detection and security automation through scripting, APIs, SOAR, or AI-assisted workflows.
• Knowledge of network security, identity, data protection, cloud, and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Lead security architecture reviews for systems, cloud services, and OT/ICS to design segmentation and zero-trust patterns.
• Design and build security automation for automated triage, enrichment, and response.
• Size and align security recommendations with business risk and maintainability.
• Participate in on-call rotation, lead incident response and threat hunting when events occur.
• Collaborate with OT, vulnerability management, DevSecOps, and infrastructure teams to improve architecture.
• Scope and participate in penetration tests and purple-team exercises; translate findings into improvements.
