Job summary

Brown and Caldwell is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to design, build, and support advanced security solutions, strengthen compliance posture, and guide risk-based decisions across the enterprise.

You will monitor alerts, drive incident response, perform vulnerability management, and collaborate with technical and business teams to secure client projects while advancing security standards and automation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant cyber security experience.
• Experience with incident and vulnerability management and security guidance.
• Governance/compliance certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CGRC).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to security alerts and tickets with professional acuity.
• Develop, implement, and enforce security standards and guidelines for the company.
• Participate in the incident management process and coordinate with teams to resolve security events.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and recommend mitigations.
• Provide security guidance during new technology evaluations and implementations.
• Coordinate and manage legal discovery and client security questionnaires.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes via automation.
• Conduct complex scripting and automation to assist security tasks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Balance risks and opportunities to protect the company’s security posture.
