Job summary

Brown and Caldwell seeks a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to design, build, and support complex security solutions while advancing our compliance posture across frameworks and client requirements.

The role handles high-impact security challenges with minimal oversight, guiding technology initiatives with a risk-based approach and strong collaboration with technical teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant cyber security experience.
• Experience with incident and vulnerability management.
• Experience guiding security requirements for new technology implementations.
• Strong knowledge of security standards and regulatory frameworks (SOC2, CMMC).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to security alerts and tickets with professional acuity and precision.
• Work with colleagues to address security questions and threats.
• Develop, implement, and enforce security standards and guidelines.
• Participate in incident management and remediation activities.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and propose mitigations.
• Provide security guidance during evaluations of new tech.
• Coordinate legal discovery and client security questionnaires.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve processes.
• Perform scripting to automate security tasks.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Make risk-based decisions impacting overall security.
