Job summary

Brown and Caldwell seeks a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to design, build, and support advanced security solutions. You will drive the organization’s security posture, monitor alerts, manage incidents, and guide technology initiatives with a risk-based lens.

You will work with technical and business teams to prioritize risks, implement secure configurations, and ensure compliance with SOC2, CMMC, and related standards.

Qualifications

• Strong grounding in information and data security principles.
• Data-driven decision making and analytical problem solving.
• Excellent communication to guide diverse stakeholders.
• Proven track record in application security, SIEM, and incident management.
• Experience with automation, vulnerability management, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to security alerts and tickets.
• Provide security guidance for new technology implementations.
• Develop, implement, and enforce security standards and guidelines.
• Lead incident management and coordinate with teams to resolve events.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and remediation planning.
• Coordinate legal discovery and third-party security questionnaires.
• Identify process improvements via automation and efficiency gains.
• Perform scripting to automate security tasks and playbooks.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards (SOC2, CMMC).
• Mentor teammates and share security knowledge across the organization.
